Jana Robbins (Rita) 

An actor, director and producer, Jana has appeared in leading roles on Broadway in GOOD NEWS, I LOVE MY WIFE, CRIMES OF THE HEART, GYPSY where she played the ‘Bump it with the Trumpet Stripper Mazzeppa’, while covering Tyne Daly as Mama Rose and THE TALE OF THE ALLERGIST’S WIFE, covering  Linda Lavin and Michele Lee and starring opposite Valerie Harper in the  National Tour. 

Her extensive regional credits include leading roles in both straight plays and musicals including Maggie in CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF and Drowsy in THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, to the title role in MANAGING MAXINE, commissioned by the Alliance Theater in Atlanta.

She has appeared in many TV shows including CHEERS, LAW and ORDER, THE GOOD WIFE and NURSE JACKIE.

Film roles include THE WOMEN with Eva Mendez, Meg Ryan and Annette Benning among others. 

Jana made her Broadway producing debut with LITTLE WOMEN starring Sutton Foster. Jana earned a Tony Nomination for helping to transfer the Kennedy Center’s highly successful production of RAGTIME to Broadway.  She also had a financial stake in both WAR HORSE and SOMETHING ROTTEN, currently on National tour.

Off-Broadway producing credits include I LOVE YOU BECAUSE, THROUGH THE NIGHT and WHITE’S LIES starring Betty Buckley. 

Shows currently in development are: ROOT OF THE WORLD Premiere Developmental Production at Kansas City Repertory Theatre, THE ASTONISHING TIMES OF TIMOTHY CRATCHIT, Workshop Theater and THE JAZZ AGE by Allan Knee, author of FINDING NEVERLAND, and LITTLE WOMEN slated for London in Spring of 2018.

Ms. Robbins is the recipient of the Jewish National Fund’s prestigious 'Tree of Life Award' and performs her one-woman show JANA ROBBINS I’M STILL HERE across the country.
