COMPOSER

Dan Goggin (Composer) began writing songs with     Robert Lorick in 1972 with their off-Broadway musical, Hark!, followed by the Broadway production of Legend and two revues.

In 1975 they created Johnny Manhattan but until it was recently “rediscovered” it had only been performed in a workshop. Robert Lorick went on to write for The Tap Dance Kid on Broadway and Dan Goggin became known as “Mr. Nunsense” with seven different Nunsense Musicals.

Goggin received the 1986 Outer Critics’ Circle Awards given to Nunsense for Best Musical, Best Book, and Best Music. He is currently involved in the making of a Nunsense TV Series. But right now Dan is thrilled to be back at Meadow Brook with the World Premiere of Johnny Manhattan. (No nuns today.)
