Michael Rice - (Music Director/Arranger/Conductor/Piano) returns to Meadow Brook, having previously done NEXT TO NORMAL and NUNSET BOULEVARD.

 

Michael was music director for the original NUNSENSE and conducted the NUNSENSE telecasts featuring Rue McClanahan.

 

He is resident musical director at Providence’s Trinity Rep where this season he will oversee both A CHRISTMAS CAROL and RAGTIME.

 

Theatre compositions (music & lyrics) include THE GOOD WOMAN OF SETZUAN, book by Bertolt Brecht and AMERICAN BEAUTY, book by Jack Heifner, Cliff Baker, Romulus Linney, and others.

 

He recently premiered his musical drama WIND AND RAIN: A DELTA FAMILY ALBUM with libretto by Margaret Jones Bolsterli at the Argenta Theater in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
